The Magnificent Mural: Kites Galore
Dialogue is a unique interactive platform to create a synergy between architects, interior designers & companies. This exclusive event was held at the royal Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace of Jodhpur from 3rd to 6th October. Our founder partner, Anand Sharma showcased his craft skills by creating a magnificent and metaphorical copper enameled mural called Kites Galore, which has also been published in The Dialogues 1920-2019 Edition VIII among the 25 unique products at the show.

DFI in the FOAID’s grand coffee table book and Jury
FOIAD is an annual festival, bringing together experienced creative minds and new facets of the architectural and design fraternity. DFI was the part of the Grand Al jury panel whilst our projects Microtek Greenburg and the New Terminal at Guwahati International Airport were displayed at the Design Arena. The buzzing and happening events ended with DFI being featured in FOAID’s grand coffee table book.

Iconic Icarus, Expressive Origami, Immersive Building Information Modelling (BIM)
Ar. Anand Sharma participated as one of the key Industry Breakout Speakers at the AU India Conference, 2019 held at Trivandrum and Bangalore on 22nd August and 5th September 2019 respectively. He talked about use of BIM in building a major infrastructural project such as New Integrated Terminal Building of Guwahati International Airport. he shared his experience on how BIM is a sustainable autonomous efficient solution to deal with complex and demanding environments of a live construction site.

Rethinking Aviation Architecture of India
Conceived as the gateway to the majestic city of Guwahati, the NITB at the Guwahati International Airport is the Nation’s foremost advanced airport building – not only technologically, but also in terms of user experience, efficient operations and sustainability. At the GBM organized by and at Indian Habitat Centre (IHC) on 1st September 2019, Ar. Anand Sharma presented DFI’s and AAI’s collective aspirations behind the design of Guwahati International Airport’s new terminal building.

During a conference, held at Indian Aviation Academy, Delhi on 31st August 2019 organized by AAI, Ar. Anand Sharma addressed our design intent of the NITB driven by BIM as the key technology. NITB is an exemplification of the future of aviation architecture in India.

New Courts Block, Delhi High Court book unveiled at iDAC expo
Our founder and Principal architect Goonmeet Singh Chauhan took a knowledge session on the New Courts Block, Delhi High Court at iDAC expo held at New Delhi on 9th August 2019. Attendees deliberated on the design and architectural interventions of the new structure as Ar. Goonmeet narrated his wit tailored stories of the inception, design, and concepts of the project.

At various platforms such as the prestigious Indian Institute of Architects Award Ceremony held at Trivandrum in Kerala and Aces of Spaces Award ceremony held at Mumbai, our founding members at DFI presented various projects shortlisted in categories such as public and infrastructure and commercial architecture, nationally recognized by the architectural fraternity.

DFI contemplates sustainability, inclusivity, and affordability
This year our forerunners at DFI were recognized and felicitated by highly respectable personalities of India such as Padma Bhushan Shri Rajeev Sethi at IndeXcellence Awards Ceremony. Alongside the award, our principal architect and founder partner Anoj Tevatia was a part of the Round Table Conference: Changing Business Dynamics and their effects on Interior Design & Build Industry & Indian Real Estate. He discussed his learning and observations on design interventions in affordable housing under PMAY and DDJAY schemes that target middle-income households.
