Rethinking the 'Ethical' in Development Architecture, Engineering, and Construction times of COVID-19

We are sure of your wellness in a world that is wrapped in growing concerns due to the epidemic. Apart from the serious health implications of the outbreak, COVID-19 has also changed the working scenario globally. Hence, as a company, we have decided to alter our current functioning to remote working. In this new #NationBuilding movement, our fundamental belief is to enable growth amidst these extraordinary times. Our endeavor will be to always stay accessible digitally, as the most appropriate step at this moment we are all observing is ‘social distancing’. We are optimistic for a quick come back, but not leaving things on autopilot, allows us to unfold our upcoming and completed projects along with some highlights from the past month.

Commercial Projects Innovative responses to climate and culture
Guwahati City Centre, Guwahati, Assam
Guwahati City Centre reinvents the customary introverted idea of mall-based retail as a more extensive looking experience that engages with the vision of urban life. Its design is a highly innovative response to the culture and climate of the Guwahati city, while also demonstrating its pioneering aspirations to create inspirational civic spaces for all. The design of Guwahati City Centre is a celebration of the Sun, using the abundant daylight through the atriums, reinterpreting the traditional courtyard planning in an innovative way reminds one of a shining beacon.
AIPL Joy Street, Gurugram, Delhi N.C.R
The planning of Joy Street is a mixed-use development project, keen design challenge with a uniquely shaped site; the main parameters of planning being greater visibility and therefore primness to all shops and an experiential shopping destination with greater imageability that aroused interest and excitement in the shopper. While the carefully designed open courts and piazzas serve as nodes which brings a strong character to this project.

Academic Engagement Book Reading Session
“ShabdoBrahm – Word is the genesis of all creation.” Narrating his journey while designing one of the most significant projects of his career- the New Courts Block at the Delhi High Court, our founder partner Goonmeet Chauhan led a book reading of ‘The Delhi High Court – Making of the New Courts Block’ at the MBS School of Architecture, New Delhi, unearthing his process of designing one of the most significant judicial infrastructures in Lutyen’s Delhi. While signing his books for the students, he encouraged them to conceive their designs from the tangible heritage and be compassionate about the existing infrastructure, rather than trying to achieve something superficial.
